An amazing bakery. Delicious freshly-baked offerings every day. This is a friendly, traditional bakers in a lovely village close to Tavistock and Yelverton. I just ordered a batch of mince pies and they are the best I've ever tasted! Definitely worth going out of your way to discover.

Lovely traditional bakery selling lovely bread and cakes. Popped in for a small loaf, was also distracted by an enormous iced Chelsea bun, completely delicious. Real hidden gem of a place, lovely friendly staff too.

This place is a gem. A proper old-school village bakery. I was only after cakes (of which there was a good selection) but I so wanted to take some bread too, it looked wonderfully rustic. Oh and the proprietor gave me the cakes baked today, rather than the slightly older ones, because she knew I was taking them to work late next week.

The bakery itself oozes as much history as their generously loaded jam doughnuts which I can confidently confirm set the benchmark for a true traditional doughnut.
Despite their sweet treats hitting the spot the sweetest thing in this place is the customer service you receive as I said I’m in no way a local, quite the opposite I’m a city boy with a love for the countryside but that was enough for the lovely staff to treat me as if I’d been a customer for a lifetime. Very well priced and no wonder they have been successful owners for 40 years in this bakeries 200 year history. Places like this are the heart and soul of what is otherwise a franchise dominated industry, and safe to say this small independent bakery is worth a visit.

We called in yesterday (the bakery is celebrating 40 years) we came away with pasties which were absolutely amazing also fabulous cup cakes.We can see exactly why Colin & Jackie have had a very successful business for so long.Thank you both very much & we will be back if we are remotely near or passing your way.
This place is a gem!. A traditional bakery run by a true master in the art of baking. Colin Honey is a true expert in his field, using the finest ingredients and knowledge he creates great traditional breads, cakes and savouries. None of the chemical filled, rushed mass produced rubbish you buy in the supermarket here. Bread making takes time and love to make the best and that is what you get at Honey's.
I wasn't planning to visit here but the smell drew me in. It's a 200 year old bakery, producing huge buns and incredible cakes all from scratch in a 200 year old oven. Absolutely incredible, charming and value for money Do not miss!

Je ne said quoi...just take in a whiff as you walk by, just taste a range of the products, yes it's not a bright and sparkly place but traditional doesn't usually need or come dressed up. I'm waiting for that 4th dimension sensory app... there would be no need to say anything then!
